THE MN APPROACH

Our techniques derive from years of workshopping the young people our agency Middleweek Newton Talent Management represent. A place that nurtures enthusiasim and talent, as well as a happy and confidence building environment that offers skills relevant to the industry.

To educate and practise the art of screen acting.

Taught by MN scouts/associates, working directors, casting directors & actors.

Culminates in a scripted audition for Middleweek Newton Talent Management.

First class training

on a part-time

basis.

Material shot on location by a professional director, edited together and given to you for your reel.

Our course has been created & is taught by Tom Newton (and team) of Middleweek Newton.

TERM BY TERM

FIRST TERM

Mon or Tues/One session per week

An introduction to acting on screen.

An emphasis is placed on creating a more 'natural' style/approach to text.

Non-theory based exercises taught by Eliot Hankins of Middleweek Newton.

A total of nine weeks in length, including showcase.

Highlights the differences between theatre and film acting, teaching you the latter.

Casting advice & audition opportunities (on approach of directors).

ENDS WITH SHOWCASE

SECOND TERM

Tues or Wed/One session per week

Building upon the methods taught & practiced during the first term.

The ability to extend oneself and engage an audience.

Script based exercises taught by Tom Newton of Middleweek Newton.

A total of nine weeks in length, including professionally filmed showreel piece.

Attempts to educate and implement what the industry looks for in a performance.

Casting practice and audition opportunities (on approach of directors).

ENDS WITH SHOWREEL

FINAL TERM

Wed or Thurs/One session per week

Implementing the new skills learnt during the first two terms.

Working under the guidance of a film/TV director.

Tests participants by exposing them to the

professional standards of the industry.

A total of nine weeks in length, includes auditions in front of MN agents.

Highlights & practises the varied approaches film directors use.

Casting practice and audition opportunities (on approach of directors).

HOW DO I GET INVOLVED

It's a very simple process. Our audition days take place every 6 - 8 weeks between 3pm and 7.30pm in Shoreditch, East London.
